HITT 275 Health Informatics, Analytics & Datause

This course offers a comprehensive exploration of Health Informatics, Analytics, and Data Use while integrating training for the CompTIA Data+ certification. Students will develop the skills needed to analyze and interpret healthcare data to support operational and clinical decision-making. The course emphasizes hands-on experience in data reduction, organization, and analysis using Microsoft Excel and other essential tools, preparing students to navigate the growing field of health data informatics. In addition to learning how information science and technology enhance healthcare research and outcomes, this course provides foundational training in SQL, R, and data visualization tools, enabling students to work with complex data sets effectively. Students will explore techniques for data mining, governance, and quality assurance while developing the ability to transform raw data into actionable insights.
