Campus Security Awareness Programs and Publications

In support of the Student Right-to-Know and Campus Security Act of 1990 and the Higher Education Technical Amendments of 1991 (also known as Clery Law), the College provides students and staff with information regarding campus security procedures and practices through various programs and publications. The information shared encourages students and staff to take responsibility for their safety as well as the safety of others and serves to increase awareness regarding the prevention of crimes. Publications used to disseminate security information include but are not limited to, flyers, the PBR, the Student News, the College Catalog, the Student Handbook, the DACC Telephone Directory, and the DACC website (www.dacc.edu). The College also provides all students and staff with online training through Safe Colleges. Students can find information about the online training on the Current Students webpage. Students are encouraged to complete training related to the laws mentioned above and a few other key safety trainings. Staff are assigned training by Human Resources. Staff are required to complete specific training and are encouraged to review all provided materials.
