AGRI 207 Agriculture Pesticides
This course is based around the foundation of an Integrated Pest Management System. IPM uses a system of biological, cultural, mechanical, and chemical methods to achieve the greatest control of agricultural pests while protecting and sustaining the environment of soils, crops and non-target organisms. Technologically advanced monitoring and calibration equipment, auto steer equipment using satellite communications, and precision application techniques work hand in hand with traditional and genetically modified crops and livestock operations to make IPM methods successful. 2 lecture hours, 2 lab hours
