ARTS 126 Ceramics II
This course builds upon the theory and practice of the ceramic process acquired in Ceramics I. Students will develop further skills in hand-building and wheel throwing techniques. Along with analysis of historical and contemporary ceramics in a cross cultural context, students will experiment with diverse ceramic forms and styles, such as functional and non-functional pottery, sculptural uses of clay, and decorative techniques using slips and glazes on a variety of clay bodies.
