JRNM 112 Introduction to Mass Media

An introduction to mass communication by examining the nature, history, functions, and responsibilities of the mass media industries in a global environment. The course surveys the impact of radio, TV, books, newspapers, film, advertising, journalism and other forms of media in our culture and critically analyzes legal and ethical media issues.
