Focuses on the nurse's unique role to design and manage care for individuals from birth to older adulthood in a variety of acute care environments. Emphasizes the nurses' collaborative communications with other health care professionals for health teaching and advocacy. Synthesizes theory and clinical experiences in the transition from the LPN to the RN role.
