SLPA 208 Clinical Methods & Documentation
This course will review the components of therapy plans, treatment goals, behavior management during a session, data collection, and clinical documentation. There will be an overview of typical documentation such as Individual Education Plans (IEP’s) and Plans of Care (POC’s). Students will gain skills in planning a structured therapy session based on a written plan of treatment, and will identify therapeutic materials and activities that may be utilized. Instruction will be provided on how to take appropriate and consistent documentation on targets. Students will also review commonly used screening and on-going assessment materials that an SLPA would use in practice.
