Speech Language Pathology Asst AA
The Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) program prepares students for employment as support personnel under the supervision of a certified Speech Language Pathologist in a variety of settings such as schools, clinics, and medical facilities. Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to apply for the Illinois State License licensure through Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations (IDFPR) and for ASHA (American Speech Hearing Association) certification. In addition to the option of immediate employment, this two year 60 program allows students the opportunity to transfer to a bachelor degree program with many prerequisites met and a strong foundation of knowledge in the area of speech-language pathology.
Entrance Requirements: Earn a C or better in
BIOL 136, SLPA 101, and SLPA 102. Separate application should be filled out with application to program
