2026-2027 Catalog

Scholarships

Each year, thanks to the generosity of donors, more than $1,000,000 in scholarships are available to students attending Danville Area Community College (DACC). These scholarships are administered by the DACC Foundation and funded by donors and supporters of the College. Awards are based on financial need and additional criteria established by donors.

Scholarship Information

Scholarships are available for both full and part-time students across a variety of academic programs. All students who submit an application are considered for scholarships.

Scholarships have specific eligibility requirements; however, most funds can be used for tuition, fees, books and other supplies as needed for the course. Award amounts vary.

How to Apply

Scholarship applications are available online from January 6 through May 1. Students can access the application at:

https://dacc.edu/foundation/scholarships

Selection Process

DACC Foundation scholarships are awarded using a scoring system. Most applications are reviewed by the DACC Foundation Scholarship Reading Committee, where each application is evaluated three times by the committee members. The final score is determined by averaging these three evaluations.

The Scholarship Reading Committee consists of 50–60 members, including retired educators, community leaders, and current or former DACC employees.

Some donors review their own applicants for their scholarships and select the recipient.

Students will begin receiving scholarship award notifications during the second week of June through their DACC student email accounts. Scholarship recipients are recognized at the annual Honors Program held each September. Individuals interested in contributing to the DACC Foundation Scholarship Fund or establishing a named scholarship can contact the Foundation at (217) 443-8843 or donate online at:
